Tonight:  Chick fil a spirit night. (Woodlawn location)
Your very own 2nd grade teachers will be serving up ice cream with sprinkles. Come out and say hello!
(I'll be there from 6:30-7)

** Many FAST classes are starting up this week. I am supposed to have a note if your child stays for a new fast class. I cannot go only on their word. Please simply send an email or a note - especially the first couple weeks of a new fast class. (technically, it's supposed to be every time regular transportation changes). Thank you!! to those that do this weekly.  :)
There are 22 of them - 1 of me.

Coming up dates:
January 15th:
all permission slips due for Revved up kids (AND the history form that was sent home in an email needs to be turned in if you are participating) - send me a note if you need it again.
January 18th:  No School
January 20th:
100th day of school

~ what does 100 look like? Be thinking about something that you already have 100 of at home. Each child will be able to share their 100 items. Items need to be contained in something clear (ziploc, soda bottle, glad ware)  AND be able to fit in their bookbag.  :)
And Red Cross Blood Drive right here at Tritt. Sign up to give blood if you are able.  (1-6 pm)

January 22nd:
Honoring our Heroes are due - just finding out Mrs. Woolley made this mandatory (thanks to these smart kiddos). So.... they are due by January 22nd.  More information can be found on the Tritt website.

Curriculum this week:
~ Please send me a note if you'd like to enrich this at home. I can always send home supplemental work or if they are working with a tutor in any subject matter, I'm happy to collaborate.

.Math:
add / subtract up to 100 (friendly numbers and same difference)

Reading:
Making inferences

Writing:
Opinion pieces and writing opinion sentences (and be able to support)

Social Studies:
Jackie Robinson

Please continue to send in any recyclable materials that we could use in STEM lessons. We could always use more materials to choose from.  Thank you!
