Week of October 12th

We met our 4th incentive for a costume party! Yay. I’ve added a 5th incentive- electronic day. Keep raising money to help educate our kiddos at Tritt! Our final count day is this Thursday. Please help your child remember to bring in the envelopes. Also, they may challenge staff members to participate in the Dash. Thank you for your continued support with our PTA Fundraiser.
 
What are we learning?
Reading: identifying the author’s purpose for writing nonfiction text. Is it to explain, answer questions, or describe a person, place, or thing?
Writing: finishing our personal narratives
Math: Reviewing place value to 1,000 with an emphasis on comparing numbers
Social Studies: learning the contributions of Thomochichi and how his life is similar to and different from our life today
Word Work: completing prefixes and reviewing all long vowels
STEM: We used our knowledge of data collection, creating a graph, and matter to make glue. Ask your child all about it!
 
Donations:
Please send in empty paper towel and toilet paper roll as you have them.
Baby wipes or hand wipes to clean up STEM and messy assignments would be appreciated. We don’t have a sink in our room so they have been helpful. (We wiped me clean with our glue mixtures today.)
 
Our Dash is this Friday. Come cheer The Woolley Mammoths on from 12:15-1:00.
