What are we learning in 504?
Reading: reading informational text and understanding nonfiction text features and how they help us better understand our reading
Writing: beginning informational writing with a focus on our hero James Oglethorpe that we’re learning about in content
Word Work: learning about adjectives and how they make our writing and reading more descriptive
  • Focusing on short and long O spelling patterns (CVC, CVCe, and CVVC)
Math: using base ten blocks and base ten drawings to solve 2-digit equations
Content: identify and describe the contributions of James Oglethorpe and compare his life with our life today
Important Information
  • Donuts will be on sale Friday morning for $1 supporting Relay for Life
  • We are celebrating our 4th incentive being met during the Dash Fundraiser this Friday. Your child may wear a costume to school. We have PE, so keep that in mind with shoes and apparel. There will not be time to change clothes. Your child may not wear a mask or anything that covers their eyes and should not bring anything that resembles a weapon. I want this to be fun, but it must be appropriate too.
  • We will have fall centers on Friday. Thanks to our room moms for their hard work.
  • Set your clocks back on Sunday.
  • ILC new book check out is Friday.
  • Your child should be taking at least 2 AR test per week on books that are their AR level
  • We will have our first in house field trip Tuesday seeing Tomochichi in the café.
